However, with increased competition and regulations, it is crucial for companies to have a strong marketing and sales strategy in place to succeed in this rapidly evolving market.
The primary focus for the student will be:
- Strategy - To conduct market research and analysis to identify target markets and consumer trends within the cannabis industry. Develop an implementation plan for a new product; develop a go-to-market strategy; identify new funding and grant opportunities, write proposals.
- Marketing - To develop marketing strategies, including branding, advertising, and online presence, to increase brand awareness and attract customers (product, place, price, and promotion).
- Sales - To create sales plans and strategies to increase revenue and drive growth for businesses in the industry.
Our goal at the end of this experience is:
- Strategy - For the student(s) to help us capture increased market share; for the student(s) to help us capture new revenue streams; for the student(s) to help us secure new funding.
- Marketing - For the student(s) to help us reach more customers, effectively promote our brand, mission, and story.
- Sales - For the student(s) to help us roll-out better prospecting that increases conversion rates and boost our sales.
- To provide recommendations for improvements and innovative approaches to marketing and sales in the Canadian cannabis industry.
Students will work closely with the primary project manager who is supervising and available for questions. This will also include occasional progress meetings where adjustments to the students' tasks and duties can be made if necessary.
Students will have access our and industry sales data through our sales force program and design accounts.
